World Cities Day Connect 2023
The Sustainable Development Council (SDC), an international non-profit organization and a partner of the United Nations Framework Convention for Climate Change (NWP), as well as a member of the United Nations ECOSOC Organization with Special Consultative Status, has the overarching goal of inspiring, encouraging, and facilitating the establishment of a global SDC network. This network is intended to unite businesses, non-governmental organizations, policymakers, civil society, and the general public in collaborative efforts to realize the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
SDC is committed to being an inclusive and accessible organization, guided by strong ethical principles, with a primary focus on fostering unity, respect, success, sustainability, and opportunities for everyone to contribute to the achievement of the SDGs.

Youth Inspire Talks Founders Harpith and Harpita Pandian were nominated by the Secretary General to represent India in the United Nations Sustainable Development Council Conference – World Cities Connect Day 2023. They are the youngest panel speakers to participate in the Youth Dialogue in this conference.

World Cities Day, designated by the United Nations General Assembly resolution 68/239, is celebrated annually on 31 October. The Day serves as an opportunity to promote the international community’s interest in global urbanization, push forward cooperation among countries in addressing challenges of urbanization and contribute to sustainable urban development around the world. The World Cities Connect Day 2023 conference held in Chennai brings to light the topics of sustainability, inclusivity and innovation in developing smart cities.
